About the Alliance

The New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose only mission is to assist New Mexico’s Hispanic college students fulfill their education dreams by providing them with scholarship dollars.

The Details: The New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that acts as a fundraising arm for Hispanic charities including the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). All the money raised by the New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education goes directly to students from New Mexico applying for a Scholarship. As one of New Mexico’s largest Hispanic scholarship fundraising organizations, the NM Alliance annually raises funds for outstanding Hispanic American undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges and universities in New Mexico. These students are selected through application and regional review procedures of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. The Alliance membership is made up of individuals representing small business, corporations and foundations. Membership dues range from $5,000 to $25,000 annually. All contributions to the Alliance go directly for scholarships and are tax deductible as allowed by law. As an Alliance member, your dollars will sponsor students selected to receive scholarships at the “Celebration of Achievement Luncheon” held in the fall.

The Vision: The New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education exists for one simple reason: to give New Mexico’s Hispanic students the opportunity to seek a higher level of education.

The Mission: The sole mission of the NM Alliance is to raise scholarship funds for New Mexico’s Hispanic American students.

The Commitment: To maintain a position of leadership in New Mexico by increasing corporate and individual support to charities including the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

WHAT WE’VE DONE

We are very proud of the following facts concerning our organization’s outreach in the state of New Mexico:

  • New Mexico has been consistently among the top ten states receiving scholarships from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). Established in 1993, the NM Alliance has generated over
    $6 million for the HSF  and affiliated programs and has been responsible for assisting over 3500 Hispanic college students with scholarships.
  • The University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, Highland State along with several junior and community colleges around the state are among the countless number of higher learning institutions receiving scholarships from the Alliance.
  • The New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education is considered a major contributor to HSF and other Hispanic charities in the state of New Mexico. The Alliance receives financial support from many New Mexico based businesses, corporations, foundations and individuals through their participation as a member of the Alliance and as sponsors and participants in the Annual Alliance Golf Tour.
